  • The scene with the two girls touching each other in the motorbike scene were cut out of the US version for it being too racy.
  • There are some errors in the video. In the scene when Britney's singing to the ugly guy, we can see him standing behind her and in front of her at the same time.
  • The video won Britney her first Grammy for Best Dance Recording.

  • Stephen Dorff (Britney's boyfriend in the video) came up with the idea of saving Britney from drowning. He said he was told to undress first but he just went in with his clothes.
  • According to a source, Britney wanted to cancel the shoot for Everytime because it wasn't the concept she wanted. She was compliant on the first day, but locked herself in a hotel room on the second. Finally, she agreed to go out but she wanted Red Bull and someone to call her a doctor.
  • Near the ending of the video, when she is taken out from the hotel and put in an ambulance "predicted" her being hospitalized 4 years later during her breakdown.

  • Rats magazine is meant to be a piss take for Star magazine who always wrote false rumors about her.
  • On November 27, 2007, MTV launched the contest "Britney Spears wants a piece of you", in which fans could direct their own version of Piece of Me using footage from interviews and performances. The winner's video premiered on TRL on December 20, 2007 and MTV, Jive and Britney herself chose the best video. The winner also received a Haier Ibiza Rhapsody device, a one year subscription to Rhapsody and Britney's whole discography released in the US.

  • The presenter at the beginning and end of video is a piss take reference to Fox presenter Megyn Kelly, who made negative comments for the song due to its controversy.

  • In 2009, a fan fiction contest was launched in Britney's official website. The winner's plot would become an actual music video for a song. It was later revealed that Eliana Moyano had won with her concept for Kill The Lights, titled Known Everywhere.
  • Many believe the video is a continuation to the Break The Ice video.

  • There is a body double in the scene with the paint.
  • Britney came up with the idea for the fight between the two Britneys.
  • This is probably the video with the most product placement in Britney's career (her own perfume - Radiance, cosmetics company Make Up Forever, an online dating site Plenty of Fish and Sony). Sources claim that Britney got 500,000 dollars for them.
  • Rumor: It cost 40,000 dollars to edit Britney's face in the video.
  • Britney freaked out when she saw the original choreography for the video so it had to be changed.
  • The comet hitting the ground in the beginning represents her debut song and album and changing the music industry.
  • The screens all around her represent how her private life was actually public and exposed.
  • The creepy smile is supposed to represent Britney "fake smiling" for the media and the fans while she was feeling lonely and miserable.
  • The faceless people surrounding her and dancing around her are her fans who stayed with her no matter what happened.
  • The paint on the white dress is her ruined image. It means no matter how hard she tries, she would never be seen as the old innocent Britney again.
  • Till The World Ends
  • There is a dance double in the video because, apparently, the choreography was too hard for Britney to do.
  • Britney didn't like shooting in the basement because she felt like "there was poop everywhere" and that it was disgusting.
  • Rumor: An extra was kicked from the set for talking about poop and farting.
  • A prop beer bottle was removed from the background to avoid issues with Britney's rehab and comeback.

  • The quote "Fuck you. You're cool. I'm out" is actually from the movie Half Baked.
  • The guys she says "you're cool" to is actually the guy that said the quote above in Half Baked.
  • There is a Crossroads (Britney's first big movie role) reference on the theatre in the fighting scene. It says "Crossroads 2: Cross Harder".
  • Criminal
  • Jason Trawick (Britney's fiance at the time) plays Britney's boyfriend and the criminal in the video.
  • The video director didn't like the idea for Jason Trawick appearing and wanted to hire an actor instead.
  • The video was shot with VHQ cameras with which movies are usually shot.
  • Ooh La La
  • Britney's two sons, Sean and Jayden, and her niece Maddie appear in the video.
  • Perfume

  • Pretty Girls

  • The video is based on the 80s movie Earth Girls Are Easy. Britney wanted a video similar to Fancy which she loved, so Iggy Azalea suggested a Geena Davis tribute. Britney loved the idea so they went with it.
  • Britney's earrings in the car scene are the same as the ones Katy Perry wore in her Last Friday Night video.
